The Grand Tour: Jeremy Clarkson's £2.5m opening scene most expensive EVER
JEREMY CLARKSON, Richard Hammond and James May will soon return with their new motoring show to rival the successful Top Gear.
The Grand Tour launch date REVEALED
And ahead of The Grand Tour's debut, it has been revealed that the opening scene to the new car show is the most expensive opening to ever broadcast on TV.
Priced at a total of £2.5million, the scene features 150 cars, 2,000 acrobats and six jet planes.
The exuberant James Bond style opener is set to mark the start of their new Amazon Prime programme in the hope that the visuals will be remembered as an iconic TV moment.

Clarkson, 56, Hammond, 46, and May, 53, will be shown speeding across the Californian desert in customised red, white and blue Ford Mustangs.
Shot in Lucerne Valley, it also features “petrolheads” and stilt-walkers as the trio are followed by £20million worth of cars, including a Bugatti Veyron and Rolls-Royce.
The show will also make Clarkson Britain’s highest paid TV star with him bringing home a reported £10million salary.

Clarkson has explained that the series will be named The Grand Tour because the presenters will travel around the globe in the show.
He said: “We'll be travelling the world hosting each episode in a different country, from a giant tent.
"It's a sort of ‘grand tour’, if you like. So we've decided to call it 'The Grand Tour'.”
