'He'll cause havoc' Jake Wood teases Max Branning's explosive EastEnders return
MAX BRANNING is set to make an explosive return to EastEnders after being wrongly convicted of Lucy Beale's (Hetti Bywater) murder and actor Jake Wood has now said he'll no doubt come back seeking revenge.
Jake Wood is set to return to EastEnders
Earlier this week, fans of the BBC soap saw Bobbly Beale (Eliot Carrington) confess to killing his half-sister Lucy after he attacked is step mum Jane (Laurie Brett) and left her for dead.
With the truth now coming out, Jake has said that Max will be returning to Walford and could go after Ian (Adam Woodyatt) for setting him up.
The actor revealed: “Max is still in prison, wrongly accused. So hopefully he’ll get out and cause some havoc.
“I’d like to see him coming after Ian Beale for setting him up, I think that’d be a good storyline. Hopefully he’ll come out of prison looking for revenge," he added, during an online Q&A with mFortune Bingo players.

Last week viewers saw Bobby brutally attack his stepmother with a hockey stick, which he took into the Queen Vic when he made his shock confession about attacking his family members.
Speaking ahead of his comeback, Jake also said that he was surprised to see former fling Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) marry Martin Fowler (James Bye) this week in Walford, as he always thought they'd end up tying the knot.
Jake continued: "They’re two characters that work incredibly well and they’ve got a big history together. I think towards the end of their relationship when they weren’t together, he was a good friend to her and supported her a lot."

Jake said he saw Stacey and Max having a future together
He went on: "I always thought they should get married but that’d be too strange. I don’t know what the future holds for Max and Stacey.
"From a personal point of view, I love working with Lacey Turner, I think she’s incredible so I hope there’s more Max and Stacey stuff to come."
EastEnders continues tomorrow at 7.30pm on BBC One.
