The actress, who plays Sarah Platt in the ITV soap, has revealed that she loves working with expectant mother Paula Lane and their dramatic story lines.
Speaking about her exit, she said: "Selfishly, I'm gutted. I absolutely adore her and working with her.
"I think for her it's the right thing to do - she's ready to go and I completely understand why she's leaving."
Tina told Radio Times: "She's a fantastic actress and will do great. But for me, personally, I'm like 'Noooooooo'."

The soap star is currently on the brink of having a meltdown as she believes her new son Harry is being influenced by the devil and will grow up to be like his father Callum Logan.
She's also struggling with the knowledge that Callum is buried under her mum Gail's floor.
Since he was killed off viewers have been desperate to know when his body will eventually be dug up and Tina promises it will be fantastic.

Discussing Gail's reaction, she said: "Amazing! Poor Gail. Her extension flat is her pride and joy and to find out what's been lying beneath it all this time will really devastate her."
Is there even a body to be discovered?
She remained tight-lipped and teased: "I don't know! A lot of people have asked that question. I can't see how that could be. Callum was definitely dead."
