Little House On The Prairie: Where are the Ingalls family now?
THE Ingalls children took centre stage in the popular western television series Little House On The Prairie as youngsters.

But now they're all grown up and look very different.
The family were the focus of the American drama, based on Laura Ingalls Wilder's best-selling Little House books, which started in 1974.
The Ingalls who, lived and worked on a farm in Walnut Grove, Minnesota, in the 1800s, were originally made up of Charles, his wife Caroline and their four daughters Mary, Laura, Carrie and Grace.
Now, more than 40 years later, the cast look a lot different to when they first starred in the hit series.

Michael Landon took on the role of Charles Ingalls
Charles Ingalls - Michael Landon
Michael Landon played patriarch Charles in the television show and even directed the pilot episode. As well as starring in Little House On The Prairie, he was known for his roles in Bonanza and Highway to Heaven. The actor sadly passed away in 1991, aged 54, just nine years after he left the role of Charles.
Caroline Ingalls - Karen Grassle
Karen played mother-of-four Caroline Ingalls, otherwise known as Ma, in the drama. When she was cast in the hugely successful series she was relatively unknown and after the show ended it's run, she decided to stay out of the spotlight. Karen moved to New Mexico and opened Santa Fe's Resource Theatre Company and in 2008 became a spokeswoman for Premier Bathrooms.

Melissa played 'half-pint' Laura Ingalls
Laura Ingalls - Melissa Gilbert
Melissa's played Pa's 'half-pint' as she stole the hearts of viewers as the spirited Laura Ingalls. Following her time on show, Melissa went on to swap roles and become Caroline Ingalls in the Little House On The Prairie, the Musical between 2009-2010. Most recently she could be seen on Dancing With The stars. She also spent time as the President of the Screen Actors Guild.
Carrie Ingalls - Lindsey and Sidney Greenbush
Twins Lindsey and Sidney Greenbush shared the role of Carrie Ingalls. They switched on and off to play the third daughter of Charles and Caroline, except for one episode where they both appeared in "The Godsister". After Little House On The Prairie, they went their separate ways in terms of acting. Later they both retired from acting and returned to their normal family lives and graduated from high school in 1988.

Melissa played Mary who went blind at the age of 15
Twins Wendi and Brenda shared the role of little GRace Ingalls
Mary Ingalls - Melissa Sue Anderson
Melissa Sue played the eldest daughter. Life wasn't easy for Mary as she went blind at the age of 15. Melissa reportedly beat 200 other girls for the coveted role before going on to star in shows such as Alfred Hitchcock Presents and Murder, She Wrote. Twenty years after her time on the western drama, she was inducted into the Western Performers Hall of Fame, in Oklahoma.
Grace Ingalls - Wendi and Brenda Turnbaugh
The second set of twins on the series were Wendi and Brenda, who shared the role of the youngest child Grace. Following their time on the series, they appeared in an advert before deciding to quit acting altogether to start school.
