'Downright silly' London Spy finale divides viewers but will it get a second series?
THE series finale of BBC drama London Spy has split its viewers on Twitter and seemingly left the door open for a second run.
While many fans loved London Spy, others were unsatisfied by the ending
The show, which aired five episodes and also starred Charlotte Rampling and Jim Broadbent, was trending on Twitter tonight as fans debated whether or not it was "beautiful" or just confusing.
In the latter camp, one viewer wrote: "#LondonSpy was a hot mess."
"It didn't make any sense, it was over indulgent & downright silly," said someone who shared the sentiment.
"Either I've been asleep between 9 & 10pm on the last 5 Monday evenings, or I lost the plot entirely," agreed a third fan.

Charlotte Rampling also put in an incredible performance
The finale of #LondonSpy was a major let down
Another said: "The finale of #LondonSpy was a major let down. The rest of the series was fantastically crafted and the last hour let it down."
While around half of the tweets seem to be negative, however, there are plenty of more positive outlooks.
One fan said: "Loved #LondonSpy! One of the best drama series I've seen! Was gripped from the first episode right to the end. Perfect cinematography too!"
Another Twitter user called it "one of the most wonderfully crafted programs [sic] on television", while someone else dubbed it "an incredible piece of drama".
Will there be more episodes?
Plenty of praise has come in for Whishaw too, with one post saying: "#BenWhishaw for King. Acting genius in #LondonSpy".
The last few moments of the final episode left viewers wondering if another series would be on the cards.
When Rampling's Frances got into Danny's car with him and said "Let's burn them down for real", it seemed another run may have been on the cards.
