The 89-year-old has definitely seen some sights and experienced some amazing things in his lifetime, but one that's up there with his most memorable has to be meeting the US President.
Appearing on today's This Morning, he said: "It was surreal. What actually happened was I had a series about fossils which was bought by a network that was just down the road from the White House."
He then added: "And they said 'would you like to meet the president?'
"'And to get it clear you're not interviewing the president, the president's interviewing you'."

Obama turned the tables in the documentary - which aired earlier this year - and did, indeed, ask the questions.
Obama aside, Sir David recently opened up about his record-breaking dive in the Great Barrier Reef.
He explained on the Jonathan Ross Show: "That was 1000 feet down, nobody has ever dived in a submersible as deep as that on the Barrier Reef until we did.
"We were in a submersible, a big plastic bubble and you sit there and there’s a pilot and a cameraman, three of us and you go down."

A special screening of the documentary Great Barrier Reef is taking place at Australia House this evening.
The event is set to be attended by Prince William, a host of celebrities and the man himself.
The series sees the renowned naturalist return to the location almost 60 years after his first visit.
