Emmy Awards 2015: Mad Men's Jon Hamm 8th time lucky as he wins Best Actor in Drama Series
MAD MEN actor Jon Hamm finally claimed his Emmy Award for Best Actor in a Drama after being nominated seven times previously in the category.

The 44-year-old star portrayed the iconic advertising executive Don Draper in the drama series, which ended earlier this year, and this was his last chance to claim the gong for the role.
Compared to his smooth character, Jon ignored the stairs and instead climbed onto the stage to collect his Emmy from comedian from Tina Fey.
However, when he did manage to regain his composure he quipped: "There has been a terrible mistake clearly. It is impossible to be named with all those extraordinary gentlemen, it's impossible to be up here and to have done this show with these incredible people.
"It's incredible and impossible for me personally to be standing here so I want to thank the people I owe an incredible debt, families who have chosen for some reason to take me in and be nice to me.

"Thank you to everybody who watched the show and thank you for this," he added.
Jon beat The Newsroom's Jeff Daniels, Bob Odenkirk from Better Call Saul, Liev Schreiber in Ray Donovan, Kevin Spacey in House of Cards and Kyle Chandler in Bloodline.
Mad Men was also up for Outstanding Drama but was beaten by fan favourite Game of Thrones, while Christina Hendricks received a nod for her performance as Joan Holloway and Elisabeth Moss got one for her portrayal of Peggy Olson.

The ceremony was something of a disappointment for Brits, who lost out to their US counterparts in nearly every category.
The only UK success of the evening was for Glasgow-born Armando Iannucci, whose series Veep walked away with four awards.
