Emmerdale: Viewers slam Eric Pollard after he BANS Diane Sugden from Val's funeral
EMMERDALE fans were not impressed with Eric Pollard on Twitter this evening, after he told Diane Sugden that she wouldn't be welcome at her sister's funeral.
Eric Pollard banned Val's sister Diane from attending her funeral
Eric lost his wife, Val, during a devastating episode when a shard of glass collapsed on top of her while trapped in a fun fair mirror maze, earlier this month.
He's still, understandably, in shock after the death and took his anger out on Diane in tonight's episode, after he caught her laughing at a video of Val in her living room.
Angry Eric then took it upon himself to ban Diane from attending Val's funeral, that's set to take place this week.
However, fans immediately took to Twitter to slam him for being so harsh. They even said that Val's death was basically Eric's fault in the first place, because he left her in the maze.

One posted: "Eric that is low down and not deserved Diane didn't kill Val #emmerdale" as another added: "Eric telling Diane she can't go to vals funeral is just cruel #Emmerdale"
Another shared: "Eric, you are not thinking straight with all that is going on. Please don't hurt Diane, you will regret it later. #Emmerdale #Valtacular"
A different person said: "@emmerdale You can't ban someone from a funeral. You go out of respect. Diane is her sister. It's his fault cos the idiot locked her in."
Val died in a shocking Emmerdale episode this month
Eric - played by actor Chris Chittell - broke down when discussing his on screen wife's exit from the soap, when he recently appeared on Good Morning Britain.
Chris, who is currently the longest serving cast member in the Dales after playing Eric for a staggering 27 years, said: "They've wrote a lot of stuff which Pollard would have been up to for Valerie but they've turned him into a whimp."
The soap legend then began to cry before presenter Ranvir Singh asked why he'd become so emotional.
"I think they call it a tear stick," he joked while wiping the trickles from his face.
