Gardeners’ World
GOOD news for Monty Don fans. The tousle-haired gardener is back at the helm (or should that be spade?) for the return of this ever-popular series. This time, however, he’s in his own garden in Herefordshire, a place he has lovingly nurtured for 20 years. As well as showing us around, Don lifts and divides snowdrops and introduces new varieties of hellebores.
Meanwhile, Carol Klein visits one of Britain’s most inspirational winter gardens, Anglesey Abbey, and learns that even in the darkest months gardens can delight the senses. In Dorset, Joe Swift and Rachel de Thame offer advice to a plucky woman who, although it’s officially still winter, is about to open her garden to the public under the National Gardens Scheme.
