The Summer I Turned Pretty fans will want to watch this 'heartfelt' coming-of-age drama
Prime Video's new coming-of-age drama Sterling Point is set to arrive this summer and the streamer has finally released some thrilling first details.

The new series comes from the creative force behind a brilliant indie film.
Prime Video has released a tantalising first look at its new coming-of-age drama that is sure to captivate fans of The Summer I Turned Pretty.
Sterling Point is a brand-new eight-part series from creator Megan Park, best known for her widely praised 2024 debut film My Old Ass starring Aubrey Plaza.
This warmhearted and surprising drama centres on a teenage girl who is stunned to discover what her grandfather has left her following his death.
A synopsis reads: "Sterling Point is a heartfelt, coming-of-age drama led by 17-year-old Annie Jacobson (played by Ella Rubin)", reports the Mirror.

"Raised in New York City with her twin brother (Keen Ruffalo) and loving adoptive father (Jay Duplass), Annie's life takes a turn when she inherits her mysterious grandfather's island in Canada.
"There, she finds new friends, budding romance and untold family secrets."
Rubin, widely recognised for her roles in Best Picture winner Anora and Hulu crime drama The Girl from Plainville, will be joined by an impressive supporting cast that also includes The Walking Dead's Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Harlan Coben's Shelter star Missi Pyle.
The ensemble is further bolstered by Amélie Elisabeth Hoeferle, Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie, Daniel Quinn-Toye, Bo Bragason, Nikko Angelo Hinayo, Mabel Strachan, and Elle-Maija Talifeathers.

All eight episodes of Sterling Point will drop on Wednesday, 5th August, exclusively on Prime Video. The streaming platform has also unveiled two thrilling new images from the drama, offering fans their first glimpse of Rubin in the role of Annie.
The photographs also feature co-star Hoeferle as Annie's friend Ramona and Duplass as her adopted father, Steven.
Further details surrounding the upcoming series remain scarce, but if the acclaim for Park's previous project My Old Ass is anything to go by, Sterling Point looks set to become a major triumph for Prime Video.
A number of IMDb users have described the film as "beautiful", with many admitting it reduced them to tears.
One 10/10 review from a 69-year-old male user confessed it "had me sobbing", praising leads Maisy Stella and Percy Hynes White as "terrific".
"I call this maybe the best Romantic Dramedy that I have ever seen," they added, rounding off their verdict by describing it as a "wonderful little film".
Will Sterling Point live up to the hype? Audiences won't have to wait long to find out, as the series lands on Prime Video as a bingeable package this summer.
