CNN erupted into chaos after the breaking news announcement that US president Donald Trump has been branded “chicken” by Wall Street bosses. On NewsNight with Abby Phillip, podcast host Kmele Foster clashed with Canadian business expert Kevin O’Leary, AKA Mr Wonderful, over the amount of unemployment in the United States.

While the breaking news strap played along the bottom of the screen, reading: “Trump erupts over Wall Street referring to him as ‘chicken’”, Foster kicked off the show to say: “Well here's the question. What percentage of job loss is fine and okay when the President of the United States—” but he was quickly cut off.

Kevin O’Leary hit back: “There's no job loss. We're almost at full employment, what are you talking about?! There's no job loss in America!”

Foster replied: “Is the claim that there have been absolutely no jobs lost because of the disruptions created by the tariffs-“ but was once again interrupted by O’Leary, who hit back: “You can say that, but you better read the numbers. We're almost full employment! What are you talking about?”

He insisted: “The economy’s on fire. What are you talking about?”

Podcast host Jennifer Welch chimed in to agree with Foster, arguing: “We are a laughing stock. We are a laughing stock in Europe, a laughing stock in Asia.” But Kevin once again disagreed, fuming: “That's not what the numbers say. The number one destination for invested capital on earth, is still over 50% in America.”

He yelled: “Tonight! Tonight! Right now! So I don't what you're talking about, ‘we're a laughing stock.’ The money pours in. Trillions of dollars comes to America. Why? Best place to invest on Earth.”
