The Chase and Tipping Point fans left 'fuming' as ITV announces schedule change
ITV has axed a number of popular programmes from the schedule this afternoon.
Fans of The Chase and Tipping Point will be in for a surprise today as ITV has announced a significant schedule reshuffle, with the popular daytime shows being temporarily removed from air.
Instead of its usual programming this afternoon, the channel will broadcast coverage of President Donald Trump's inauguration. The ceremony is set to begin at 5pm, where viewers will witness Mr Trump, 78, return to the White House accompanied by his wife Melania, 54.
The former US president triumphed over Kamala Harris in the November elections, succeeding Joe Biden.
In result, ITV's hit gameshow Tipping Point, presented by This Morning's Ben Shephard, has been dropped from today's schedule, reports the Mirror.
Bradley Walsh's The Chase has also been affected. Despite being a mainstay of ITV's schedule for over ten years and consistently drawing in millions of viewers with its challenging questions, the popular quiz show has also been pulled.

ITV's special programme will run for two hours, starting from 4pm and extending into their evening news bulletin. ITV News broadcaster Tom Bradby will host the two-hour special live from Washington, D.C, as Trump is inaugurated for another term.
This schedule alteration is only for one day, and all programmes will resume their regular slots on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, several beloved BBC shows have also been taken off air, including the long-standing quiz show Pointless with Alexander Armstrong.

Viewers quickly expressed their discontent online, with many voicing their frustration. One disgruntled fan posted on X (formerly Twitter): "Why the f*** have they took #TheChase off and moved #DealOrNoDeal just for Trumps inauguration? Who gives about that over here." (sic)
Another viewer ranted: "Can't believe Trump is on instead of #TheChase." A third user complained: "I'm fuming Ange" No Tipping Point or The Chase on TV this afternoon because Trump is on every chuffing channel 4pm until 6pm #Trump #Lingo #TheChase." (sic)
A fellow fan chimed in, stating: "What's going to make me blue is 2 hours of the president's inauguration from 4pm - 6pm on every chuffing channel! I want to watch #Lingo and #TheChase." (sic)
The Chase and Tipping Point air weekdays on ITV and ITVX.
