Emmerdale’s Amelia ‘playing’ Tom as fans ‘expose’ her real plan - and he should be worried

Emmerdale viewers are convinced that Amelia Spencer is hatching a major plot against Tom King.

Currently, Amelia (portrayed by Daisy Campbell) finds herself entangled with the show's villain and abuser, Tom King (played by James Chase). Viewers will remember the harrowing storyline where Tom mistreated his spouse Belle Dingle (acted by Eden Taylor-Draper), leading to her eventual departure from him.

Despite the age gap of a decade, Tom has charmed young Amelia into a relationship, with her fiercely determined to stand by him against all odds.

Amelia is not only set on clearing Tom's name but also keeps her daughter Esther from her grandparents, Sam (James Hooton) and Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick).

Yet, there's a twist in the tale as it appears Tom's days of tyranny might be numbered, courtesy of an unexpected resident.

In the episode aired on Wednesday (October 8), Lydia made the decision to allow Esther to spend time with Sam and herself, reports the Manchester Evening News.

At the Dingles', Lydia attempted to open Amelia's eyes to Tom's manipulative nature, warning her that he was exploiting her to get back at Belle.

Lydia warned Amelia with the ominous words: "Until the mask slips and the real Tom comes out, and then you realise you've been part of his nasty games, and I worry that you and Esther will be in too deep by then."

Although initially infuriated by Lydia's insinuations, Amelia's countenance shifted to one of contemplation, sparking speculation among viewers that she might be covertly plotting Tom's downfall.

An Emmerdale enthusiast took to a Facebook fan page, sharing their suspicion with the comment: "I feel Amelia is on to Tom. Please give him what he deserves! " Another fan questioned: "Did a light pop on behind Amelia's eyes just then?"

Whilst a third optimistically chimed in with: "Wishful thinking but I hope so, maybe now she will listen."
