ITV Emmerdale's Lisa Riley praises Corrie 'baby sister' Vicky Myers in throwback snap
Emmerdale's Lisa Riley has taken to social media to share two throwback snaps with her 'TV baby sister' Vicky Myers, who stars as DS Lisa Swain on Corrie.

Emmerdale icon Lisa Riley has showered praise on her 'pretend TV baby sister' Coronation Street star Vicky Myers.
Lisa, 48, who has played Mandy Dingle on the ITV soap on and off since 1995, posted two throwback photos with Vicky on Instagram, who looked unrecognisable with pink hair compared to her current blonde locks. Vicky has played DS Lisa Swain on Coronation Street since 2021 and became a permanent character earlier this year.
Lisa wrote: "So unbelievably proud of my work pretend TV baby sister @vicksmyers knocking it out of the park, playing the role of Lisa so brilliantly in @coronationstreet."
She continued: "I have always said, and mean it from the bottom of my heart, BEAUTIFUL THINGS HAPPEN TO BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE.... and one thing is for sure Vicky is a absolute beauty."
Lisa added: "I am your proudest big sister....keep being you babes our series which we worked together "AGE BEFORE BEAUTY" is on @bbciplayer NOW!!! #coronationstreet #sister #work @emmerdale #emmerdale #proud" followed by heart emojis, reports Leeds Live.
However, some of Lisa's 212K followers misunderstood the caption, thinking the duo were actually related, prompting Lisa to clarify. One account said: "I didn't know it was your sister Lisa? Both brilliant actresses Xx" to which Lisa explained: "@liz.mulligan.9081 we played sisters in @bbc Drama Age Before Beauty."
Elsewhere, another follower said: "Amazing seeing women lift other women up", a different account put: "Tell u something Lisa, she’s b****y brilliant! I absolutely love her in Corrie and I love u in Emmerdale too" with a heart while another added: "She’s the best thing in Corrie right now. True icon!"
Meanwhile, Coronation Street actress Vicky responded herself as she commented: "Well, how lovely of you! Women empowering women and what a woman you are! Thank you so much big sis! Regan’s rule, always! [heart] you x."
Lisa and Vicky starred together in BBC One's Age Before Beauty back in 2018, which focused around an eclectic crew of characters who manage a family-owned beauty salon.
In the series, Lisa played Tina Regan while Vicky portrayed Heidi Regan. Other stars who worked on the show include fellow Corrie star Lucy-Jo Hudson, Bridgerton star Polly Walker and The Crown's James Murray - to name a few.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
