GB News' Dawn Neesom suggests dogs are 'stupid' during segment

GB News returned to screens with presenters Stephen Dixon and Dawn Neesom for its breakfast show, but fans were left unimpressed after a conversation about dogs.

The co-hosts welcomed guests Claire Pearsall and Nigel Nelson to discuss whether humans should be as happy as dogs and find joy in the small things.

Claire shared: “These are people looking at why dogs are so happy to do the same thing day in, day out still find it really exciting and shouldn’t we become more like that.”

After Stephen joked: “Be more dog,” the guest continued: “It's one of those things you can throw a ball for a dog several times and they’re still really excited when you do it.”

However, after Dawn suggested: “Isn’t that because they’re stupid,” viewers took to the comments with anger.

Responding to Dawn, Claire continued: “I think they live in the moment and that’s what the research says.

“They’re there for the moment and they really enjoy it and everything’s great.”

Nigel added: “Also what this philosopher is saying is you can learn compassion from your dog.

“The dog restrains itself from biting you, and from that, this philosopher says you can learn compassion from that.”
