Elite season eight is on the horizon - but when exactly is the series going to be released?

The tantalising teen show has been missing for the best part of a year following the unexpected reveal of what really happened to Raoul (played by Alex Pastrana) in the seventh outing.

Now, the wait is almost over for Elite to make a comeback for season eight with another death at the lavish yet deadly boarding school Las Encinas.

Elite season eight release time on Netflix

Elite season eight is set to premiere on Friday, July 26, on Netflix with all eight episodes dropping onto the streamer in one go.

The time it which Elite will become available, however, does depend on where you are geographically.

Season eight is to be released simultaneously around the world, but the time itself will differ.

Those residing on the West Coast of the States can expect episodes to drop at midnight PST (Pacific Standard Time), while East Coast dwellers are to be treated from 3am EST (Eastern Standard Time).

Across the pond, UK Netflix subscribers will be able to watch Elite season eight from 8am BST (British Summer Time) with most of Europe following suit around an hour later.

Unfortunately, the show’s return is bittersweet, given that Elite will not be returning for another outing after season eight.

Shortly after Netflix gave the green light for this latest series, it was confirmed that Elite would be coming to an end, a decision made by its creators.

Series creator Carlos Montero explained in a statement: “Jaime [Vaca, co-showrunner for season 7], Netflix and I thought it was time to end it.

“I say this with great regret because it’s been several incredible years in which I’ve met wonderful actors, we’ve worked with all the directors we wanted to work with and we’ve had the luxury of having Maribel these last two seasons.

“Élite changed everyone’s life, there are actors who started with us and it has been their springboard to be now world stars, it is happening to this cast and it is a pride to have contributed to that and to know that they have seen us all over the world and liked it.”

Elite season eight premieres on Friday, July 26, on Netflix.
