Good Morning Britain fans all say same thing as Ranvir Singh replaces Kate Garraway

Good Morning presenter Kate Garraway was nowhere to be seen on the ITV show as Ranvir Singh and Richard Madeley took the helm.

Good Morning Britain fans were distracted today as they commented on Kate Garraway's replacement. The regular ITV show presenter was nowhere to be seen, with co-star Ranvir Singh stepping in to fill her role instead, alongside Richard Madeley.

But fans were distracted by Ranvir's outfit. She was wearing a silky, wrap-around blouse, which was quite low cut with a white and navy floral pattern.

Some viewers joked that Ranvir had turned up to the ITV studio in nightwear, with one posting to X (formerly Twitter): "Like Ranvir's dressing gown #gmb". Another added: "Ranvir turned up in her dressing gown this morning #gmb".

A third penned: "Feeling like @ranvir01 today, like I can't be bothered to get dressed and might go to work in my dressing gown [crying laughing emoji] #GMB".

Meanwhile, the presenter's hair "annoyed" other viewers. "Isn't Ranvir's fringe irritating her eyes? Because it's chuffing annoying the 'eck out of me! #GMB," one complained. While another wrote: "Please get Ranvir's fringe out of her eyes! #GMB." But others absolutely loved her look as someone said: "Ranvirs looking hot as f**k today #GMB."

It is unclear why Kate is missing from GMB this morning, but it is common knowledge that most ITV presenters take a break over the summer. Co-star Susanna Reid recently announced that she will be taking a few months off from Good Morning Britain, and returning in September.

Susanna also takes a break from Good Morning Britain during the school holidays, with the newsreader taking a three-week hiatus for Easter.

The presenter's break allows her to spend more time with her three sons; Sam, Finn, and Jack, who she shares with ex-partner Dominic Cotton.

ITV co-stars Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, who present This Morning, also recently announced that they won't be returning until September.

Ben, 49, announced their departure on Instagram, revealing viewers will be in "safe hands" while they enjoy their summer. Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary will reportedly remain on This Morning as the show's main hosts this summer, with Ben and Cat likely to return in September.

Elsewhere, Ranvir is often also used as a replacement on ITV's Lorraine as the Scottish host takes regular breaks. Earlier this year, Lorraine opened up about why she is often missing from her show, revealing it's because she is looking after her mother who is unwell.

She told Woman’s Hour: "You should never comment on things like that if you don’t know what’s really going on in people’s lives. But I am having to take quite a few Fridays off, because my mum’s really not well."
