This Morning's Cat Deeley breaks silence on appearing on Loaded mag's front cover

Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard were joined by the new executive editor of Loaded magazine, Danni Levy, who caused controversy on ITV.

Ben Shephard asks Cat Deeley if she was in Loaded magazine

Tensions rose on This Morning when Cat Deeley discussed the distressing experience of her image being used without permission in a lads' mag back in 2000.

During the ITV programme, host Ben Shephard welcomed Danni Levy, the new executive editor of the relaunching Loaded magazine, and feminist commentator Ashley James. However, before diving into the discussion, Ben queried Cat about her past involvement with the notorious publication.

Ben introduced the topic by saying: "Danni, you are the new executive editor of Loaded magazine, which has been relaunched. Many of our viewers will know... Were you ever in Loaded, Cat?"

Cat revealed: "No. They once used a picture that was taken at an awards ceremony with me, Billie Piper and Natalie Appleton and stuck it on the front without actually my approval."

"Without your permission?" Ben reiterated. He then turned to Danni, suggesting: "Well, let's take it up with the executive editor," reports the Mirror.

The segment took another controversial turn when Danni seemed to link the inability of men to "ogle" women openly with the rise in male suicide rates. On air, she argued: "Men, I feel, are not allowed to be men any more. They're not allowed to be unapologetic straight men."

She added a concerning statistic to the debate, stating: "Male suicide accounts for the highest death rate among men under 50 in the UK, it's the largest form of death. Is that not worrying, that men feel like they don't have somebody to reach out to, to speak to, a platform to vent and laugh and joke and chat to other men?"

The segment sparked a heated debate among viewers, prompting them to take to social media to voice their opinions. One viewer expressed disbelief on X: "Is she really saying the return of Loaded magazine will reverse male suicide? SERIOUSLY? I'm cringing myself inside-out."

Another shared their nostalgia but questioned the magazine's relevance: "I loved Nuts, Loaded and FHM back in the 90s, but think it's now outdated. I might be wrong as I've not seen the new release. As a forum for men I can't see it helping with mental health as there's so much out there, but again I might be wrong. I'm just a man."

A third was clearly outraged: "Did she really just say men are committing suicide because they can't ogle women? I just don't know where to begin with that one."

Meanwhile, a fourth fan bluntly stated: "She suggested men commit suicide because they cannot ogle women. WTF."
