Coronation Street Lauren’s baby loss 'sealed' as she’s attacked - but not by Joel

Coronation Street Lauren Bolton could be set for a heartbreaking baby loss twist.

The troubled youngster (Cait Fitton) made her shock return to the cobbles this month. As fans will recall, Lauren has been missing since February - and was presumed dead - sparking a long-running mystery storyline.

However, viewers later found out that sicko lawyer Joel Deering (Callum Lill) had brutally attacked her, before leaving her for dead.

A series of flashbacks in an episode this month showed the truth behind her disappearance and her relationship with Joel. The nasty solicitor wormed his way into Lauren’s life after helping her out with bills, eventually coercing her into a sexual relationship.

And after months of being hiding, Lauren has made a return and in a shock twist, Lauren revealed to Joel she was pregnant with his baby.

When Dee-Dee Bailey and Bethany Platt (Channique Sterling-Brown and Lucy Fallon) managed to track Lauren down, Joel was terrified that he would be found out.

He has since managed to keep Lauren quiet by insisting he will arrange for her and the baby to start a new life in Ireland. However, the soap villain had something more sinister planned.

He researched online what drugs can induce premature labour, appearing to hint that he is set to drug Lauren and harm their baby. And things take a more dramatic turn next week on the ITV soap.

Spoilers reveal that Lauren when gets mugged at the precinct in Friday’s episode (August 2). Meanwhile back m at the flat Joel feigns concern as he plots to get rid of her for good.

Later on, things take a dramatic turn for Lauren. Alone, Lauren she over in pain, clutching her stomach.

Having tracked her to the flat, Max arrives and bangs on the door. Lauren then calls out to him that she’s terrified she’s losing the baby.
