Outlander: Season 7 part 2 teaser for STARZ drama

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Outlander.

Outlander season seven is currently in the middle of a hiatus but thankfully the end is now in sight.

Droughtlander is back with Starz subscribers missing the show’s presence since the series seven part one finale aired in August 2023.

When it was last seen, Jamie (played by Sam Heughan), Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe) and young Ian (John Bell) had returned to their homeland of Scotland.

Roger MacKenzie (Richard Rankin) had also left his wife behind in the 1980s to travel back to the 19th Century to find their son Jemmy who they believe was taken through the stones.

So when Outlander does return, there will be plenty for fans to get their teeth into.

When will Outlander season 7 part 2 premiere?

For months, it has been very quiet regarding exactly when Outlander would be making a comeback for its next lot of episodes.

But finally, Starz has revealed that Outlander season seven part two is going to premiere on Friday, November 22, in the US, more than 15 months after the midseason finale.

This first episode will come out at midnight on the streaming service, app and on demand and will be aired primetime at 8pm ET/PT that evening.

The first half was released on the same date in the UK so part two is expected to follow suit.

This second half is going to consist of eight episodes as well, making it the longest season yet.

A few hints of what’s to come has been teased through its synopsis, stating that thanks to the “perils of the Revolutionary War”, Jamie, Claire and Ian will be forced to “choose between standing by those they love and fighting for the land they have made their new home."

The description also talks of difficulties to come in Jamie and Claire’s marriage as they will be tested “like never before”.

They won’t be the only ones going through a tough time either Roger and Brianna will "face new enemies across time and must battle the forces that threaten to pull their family apart.”

Why did Harry and Meghan make a Netflix series about their life?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have found themselves at the centre of public attention since they took a step back from senior royal duties in 2020.

In a trailer for the Netflix series about them, Prince Harry told viewers that “no one sees what’s happening behind closed doors” in a reference to how their lives may differ from what the public think about the couple. Meghan adds: “When the stakes are this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?”.

Reports suggested the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could receive up to $100 million for making the show, although this has been disputed and the true figure is unknown.

There will be more to come from Diana Gabaldon’s universe as Outlander has already been given the green light for season eight with filming underway.

Unfortunately, it is bittersweet news as this will be the final season of the hit romantic drama, bringing Jamie and Claire’s story to a close for good.

A clear indication of a release date hasn’t been made but it is believed the last series could begin sometime in late 2025.

Outlander is available to watch on Starz and MGM+ via Prime Video Channels.
