Bargain Hunt fans in shock as expert makes jaw-dropping profit on last minute item
Antique expert Stephanie Connell stole the show with her Bargain Hunt steal as she doubled her bonus buy, despite the blue team failing to win.
Before she revealed what she had purchased, the guests were in crisis as they had landed on minus £47. But thanks to her mighty winner she got them out of cloudy water.
Due to the sellers packing up early, Steph was under a massive amount of pressure, as she was heard telling host Charles Hanson: “I better be quick - I’ve never been on such a speedy shop”. However, she managed to pick up an unusual scent bottle.
Initially, when Charles, 45, spoke with the auction host he did not appear to be that impressed and was stunned that she forked out £50 for it. He said he would have paid “maybe £20 to £25 for it”.
He was hopeful that she would maybe at best make at least a five-pound profit but that would be it “at best”. But in a huge plot twist the trinket doubled in price at the auction.

Despite this, the auctioneer was doubtful and said that it was “just a little bit plain and worried” and that it would get lost in such a huge auction.
Eagerly standing at the side of the with her team, Stephanie was spotted biting her nails as the price increased. The two women beamed from ear to ear and jumped for joy.
Stephanie admitted that she was “relieved” that the item not only made a profit but doubled in figures.

However, sadly the women lost out to the red team - who were on a winning streak from the get-go as they walked away with a whopping £62 profit. The scent bottle sale Stephanie grabbed took the blues to plus £3.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, social media users were left in “shock” at Stephanie's triumph. One person wrote: “So shocked at Steph’s profit, Yes YES”.
“Steph made a profit OMG OMG shocked face,” penned another. A third chimed in and agreed saying, “Steph makes a profit. Collectors’ episode”.
While a fourth added: “Yes, yes go on Steph gutted the blue team and didn’t win after that”.
