BBC Gladiators fans all say same thing as Viper breaks silence after 9 weeks
Bradley and Barney Walsh were back as presenters to host the semi-final of the rebooted version of Gladiators on BBC One tonight.
Gladiators: Viper tells contestants to 'stop the waffling'
Gladiators viewers were left in shock during Saturday's semi-final after Gladiator Viper broke his silence for the very first time on the BBC One show.
Avid watchers of the rebooted series will know that Viper never speaks, despite being asked for commentary by hosts Bradley Walsh and his son Barney.
However, on Saturday's episode, the silent assassin spoke for the first time in nine weeks, leaving fans reeling over the sound of his voice.
After contestants Jake and Finlay took on Gladiators Nitro, Giant and Viper in a round of Power ball, host Barney spoke to the trio after they beat the two contestants.
Barney, 26, asked: "Any words from you Viper?," before he grabbed the microphone from his hand and angrily expressed: "Stop the waffling."
Fans of the show couldn't quite believe Viper was speaking and rushed to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their opinions.
One person said: "Omg Viper actually speaks. Was not expecting that thick London accent #Gladiators."
Another viewer expressed: "I thought Viper might of sounded like Joe Pasquale! #Gladiators."
Someone else penned: "Is that the first time we've heard Viper speak? #Gladiators."

Yet another wrote: "Bloody hell, Viper spoke! Not how I expected him to sound at all #Gladiators."
A fifth said: "It's been 9 weeks & Viper finally spoke #Gladiators."
While a sixth added: "Viper actually spoke #Gladiators."
Viper previously landed himself in hot water when his rage got the better of him in last week's show.
The contender had to be prised away from Ash after grasping him in an illegal hold - a wrong move which landed him with a yellow card.
Referee Sonia was showing him no mercy after his track record, which in the past has included explosive backstage reactions and dramatic growls.
Ash went on to win the round 10-4 following Viper's crushing disappointment.
Gladiators returns next Saturday on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
