Gary Barlow is temporarily stepping away from music to present his own travel show on ITV this autumn.
The Take That icon will delve into the delicious world of food and wine in wonderful South Africa.
The 53-year-old, who once battled bulimia, is already a wine connoisseur after launching his own organic range in 2021, which is now available in shops.
But the singer is set to visit vineyards and sample local cuisine in South Africa, to further explore his passion for food and wine, and share his journey with viewers.
ITV has commissioned a series of five episodes that will temporarily take Gary away from the stage to the African continent where he'll explore famous landscapes and see roaming wildlife.
He will also get to do a local safari when filming of the ITV show begins next month ahead of his band's This Life tour in April.
Speaking about his forthcoming South African adventure Gary expressed his enthusiasm and said: "I’m absolutely delighted to be exploring my passion for food, wine and travel in this new series for ITV.
"I’ve always loved South Africa and I can’t wait to really see all that it has to offer: the people, the places, its amazing history… and a glass or two of its incredible wine!"
He added: "This series is something that’s a bit different for me – but I can’t wait to get going."
