BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty sparked uproar with viewers on Friday morning as the 48-year-old presented from the studio alongside Charlie Stayt. Many fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts about Naga’s outfit choice.
@WokChic said: “I love Naga, but her choice of outfit this morning is awful. She looks like she’s nabbed her grandad’s old suit. It’s huge on her petite frame. Not her usual chic self #bbcbreakfast.” @simongalcock added: “Naga Hagger turning up in #BBCBreakfast after a long shift at Claridges.”
@DanWestfallen commented: “@BBCBreakfast I thought for a second that Naga was stood in front of the table.” @RobHallstr83159 tweeted: “BBC BREAKFAST right NOW has anyone noticed how Naga Munchetty's Make-Up is Flawless does she do it herself or does someone do it for her.”
Although not all viewers shared the same opinion as @Janet45220381 commented: “She is a brilliant presenter. Her clothes are not her mainstay.” Naga’s outfit choice comes after the host mysteriously disappeared from the red sofa last week.
The 48-year-old-year-old didn’t address her absence as viewers saw Nina Warhurst and Rachel Burden join Charlie in the studio instead. However, the host wasted no time in having some fun with co-star Carol Kirkwood.
On Thursday, the duo were discussing Richard Plaud’s eight-year mission to beat a world record for building the largest Eiffel Tower model out of matchsticks.
After Carol read the latest weather forecast, Naga mentioned her co-star was keen to know how many matchsticks came in an individual box.
Carol replied: “I am constipated with anticipation.”
Shocked by her response, Charlie replied: “Oh I wasn’t expecting that."

As Naga continued to reel off information about the impressive sculpture project, the camera unexpectedly cut back to the weather presenter.
Thinking that her segment was over, Carol started to walk off the screen, which didn’t go unnoticed by Naga.
She quickly quipped: “She wasn’t interested, she was just going. The constipation of excitement is getting to her!”
However, it looked as though Charlie was fed up with their crude conversation as he slammed: “Get on with it, will you please get on with it.”
Once Naga continued to share some figures about the matchsticks, Carol replied: “Wow I’m impressed, that’s good information. G
“Good for the next pub quiz I must say, I’ll remember that.”
As Naga questioned whether or not Carol would really use that information in the future, she smiled coyly and nodded.
Noticing she was telling a fib, Charlie quickly added: “Well that’s a no!”
