Dancing On Ice fans joke Stephen Mulhern 'will sue' after Ricky Hatton punches him
Boxer Ricky Hatton is just one of the celebrities hoping to be crowned this year's Dancing On Ice champion.
Ricky Hatton 'punches' Stephen Mulhern on Dancing on Ice
Dancing On Ice viewers have joked that host Stephen Mulhern "will sue" Ricky Hatton after finding himself on the receiving end of a joke punch. The incident happened after new presenter Stephen enlisted Ricky to hold a microphone so that he could announce the voting lines were closed
However, when Ricky tried to drop his arm after Stephen had finished the host kept lifting it back up and making faces at him only to be made the butt of the joke as Stephen pulled faces for the camera. Giggling co-presenter Holly Willoughby quipped: "Please just hit him" and the boxer, who had earlier skated to the Rocky theme tune, happily obliged sending the former redcoat flying off his feet.
A user with the handle @AlexPatterson0 quipped: "Stephen is going to sue Ricky Hatton for that punch."
@craftymss commented: "Hahahaha I have to say well done Ricky Hatton. Laughing so hard over that punch."
@TracyFi31470652 joked: "Mulhern defo needed that punch by Hatton." Meanwhile, @Lynnemooney11 simply wrote: "Ha ha class."
Unfortunately for Ricky, following the vote, he learned that he and his professional skating partner Robin Johnstone would face the skate-off in next week's competition.

This is Stephen's first year as a full-time host on the show. Historically the show has been presented by Holly and Phillip Schofield who also hosted This Morning together.
However, earlier this year Phillip sensationally quit ITV after admitting to having an affair with a younger colleague. Stephen had previously briefly stepped in as a one-off host when Phillip tested positive for COVID-19 in the 2022 series
Prior to the show launch, Stephen shared a sweet tribute to Holly on Instagram. Posting a throwback video of the British TV programme 'Ministry of Mayhem,' Stephen added the caption: "Unbelievably, the first ever Ministry of Mayhem aired 20 years ago TODAY! I loved the years doing this with @hollywilloughby! We’ll be back on your screens this Sunday, live at 6.30 pm, doing something just as slippy… #DancingOnIce."
Dancing On Ice is on ITV and ITX on Sundays at 6.30pm.
