The National Lottery: In It To Win It
I don’t know if this makes me strange or not, but sometimes I deliberately watch shows which I know are going to irritate me.
Shows which make me shout at my television, as if I’m a wee bit mad. And Dale Winton’s In It To Win It is precisely such a programme.
What specifically makes me yell is the way each contestant is encouraged to talk us through their thought processes in painfully drawn-out detail whenever they’re asked a simple multiple-choice question.
Given three possible answers, they’ll witter on and on about how they’ve a hunch it’s A but their heart says C, although B sounds awfully tempting, and . . . just shut up and answer the flipping question, will you?! And then there’s the bit where my Lottery numbers fail to come up again.
