Strictly Come Dancing in another 'fix row' as Nigel Harman's dance history exposed
The full Strictly Come Dancing 2023 line-up has now been revealed, and it's only a matter of time before the glitzy show is back on screens.
Former EastEnders star Nigel Harman will join Strictly Come Dancing
Strictly Come Dancing is facing another "fix row" before the series has even begun after it emerged actor Nigel Harman isn't quite a complete beginner to the world of dance.
Some have argued the former EastEnders heartthrob has an unfair advantage because he took part in 2014's I Can't Sing! The X Factor Musical, in a role that involved dancing.
Additionally, Nigel got his first break as a child due to his singing and dancing lessons.
When he was older he worked as a dancer on a cruise ship, so definitely has some practice in showcasing his moves.
Previous social media posts indicate Nigel is in fact a good dancer.
In 2014, Twitter user @VictoriaBlossom shared: "I'm sorry, but more people need to see Nigel Harman tap dance in leather pants #ICantSing."
"The more I hear about the Shrek musical the more I want to see it, if only to see Nigel Harman dance on his knees," @UnstuckMonsters shared.

However, others have defended Nigel and pointed out the dancing was a long time ago and different to Ballroom and Latin.
@j_starburst argued: "[That was] like 30 years ago he's 50 now."
Others can't wait to see the Dennis Rickman star on the dancefloor, with @fiona_richens admitting: "@bbcstrictly and @BBCCasualty I’ll start watching Strictly again!! Last two series I only got as far as week 3 then I stopped!!! Love Nigel Harman. He’s a fantastic signing."
Nigel isn't the first considered to have an advantage over the other contestants, with actor, singer and dancer Layton Williams also signed up to take part.
With his performing experience, Layton has already been tipped to lift the Glitterball Trophy.
The West End star has odds of 7/2 to win the series, with Zara McDermott next best at 5/1.
William Hill spokesperson, Lee Phelps, said: "The line-up for this year’s Strictly is close to being finalised and we’ve got another interesting bunch of celebrities set to put on their dancing shoes.
"Layton Williams, with plenty of dancing experience, is the perhaps unsurprising early favourite at 7/2, with Zara McDermott his closest pursuer at 5/1."
Strictly Come Dancing is set to return to BBC One in September.
