Eurovision 2023 LIVE: Sweden win for second time causing upset as crowds chant for Finland
The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 is taking place in Liverpool on behalf of Ukraine after Kalush Orchestra won last year with their hit Stefania.
Moment Sweden announced as winner of Eurovision Song Contest 2023
The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 Grand Final will take place tonight (Saturday 13 May) in Liverpool on behalf of Ukraine.
Despite Kalush Orchestra winning the 2022 contest with their song Stefania, the country cannot host due to the ongoing conflict with Russia.
Throughout the course of the week, Liverpool have honoured Ukraine and the final will include plenty of nods to last year's winner.
Ahead of the Grand Final, Sweden remains the favourite to win the Song Contest with Loreen and her single Tattoo.
Unfortunately for UK entry Mae Muller, it doesn't look as though she can replicate the success of Sam Ryder, who placed second in 2022.
Bookmakers Ladbrokes have cut the odds of Sweden winning to 4/9 with Finland close behind at 5/2. Meanwhile, the UK have tumbled to 33/1 to win.
Jessica O'Reilly of Ladbrokes said: "Loreen's going from strength to strength and it would be a huge surprise if she doesn't win Eurovision for a second time."

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "There's a clear front three in the betting, and punters are split between them right now. We thought Sweden were a shoo-in for the crown before a note was sung, but Finland and Israel will almost certainly be hot on their heels."
He added: "As for Mae Muller, the latest odds suggest she'll do well to find herself on the left hand side of the table, let alone anywhere near top spot."
