Stranger Things season 4: Time Travelling plot ‘confirmed’ as bosses drop huge clue?
STRANGER THINGS fans have been putting together a number of their own theories of what will happen next ever since the last season dropped back in July. With one of the most popular being time-travel, fans were overjoyed when bosses dropped a huge clue on social media.

Stranger Things showrunners have dropped a number of eighties film references across the three seasons, with many of which holding vital clues for what’s to come. Now, one tweet from the @strangerwriters Twitter account seems to confirm Eleven (played by Millie Bobby Brown) and the gang will go back in time next season.
Stranger Things fuelled speculation a few weeks back when they shared a post online making reference to the very first episode.
On a black screen, two lines of text read: “November 6th 1983 Hawkins, Indiana”.
Although the season four promo teased “We’re not in Hawkins anymore”,
Specific mention of the date it was set lead many to speculate season four might travel back to the very beginning of the show.

The above text left a number of gaps fans had to fill in, that appeared to be a declaration of love.
However, it wasn't long though before a dedicated user realised that the first tweet was actually hinting at a blooper reel instead.
Filling in the gaps, one user wrote “ITS A BLOOPER REEL GUYS”.
However, this isn’t the first time showrunners have dropped time travelling clues.

With season three featuring a number of Back to the Future references, fans are speculating that the Hawkins gang themselves will travel back in time.
Could they go back in time and rescue Hopper?
There is evidence to suggest that the show's creators initially planned to include aliens and time travel in the programme.
The original pitch that the Duffer Brothers wrote up suggested that experiments of this nature would play a role in the Hawkins lab.

However, we are yet to see this unfold on screen.
One superfan of the show created their own theory on how showrunners will incorporate time travel on the show.
Reddit user Karkuz19 said: “On the last episodes of S3, we see a screening of Back to the Future.
“Interestingly, it's one of the few movies referenced directly in the entire series that still doesn't connect in almost anyway other than being fit chronologically.
“From then on, the references to the show start to go backwards in time.”
Moreover, the fan suspected time travel will be bought to the show by yet another character who has special powers.
Referencing the appearance of Kali (played by Linnea Berthelsen) who was known as Eleven’s (Millie Bobby Brown) friend Eight in season two of the show, the superfan predicted yet another test subject from Hawkins lab will enter the show.
The fan added: “Well, we know people with powers very different from Eleven exist (Kali).
“At least 9 of them, presumably with 9 different super powers. Couldn't time travel be one of them?
Stranger Things seasons 1-3 are available to stream on Netflix.
