Netflix March 2019: What’s new to Netflix in March 2019? Films and TV series
MARCH 2019 is going to be a cracking month for Netflix with plenty of favourites making a return as well as some new TV series and films. Here’s a look at what’s coming to Netflix in March 2019.
F1 reveal teaser trailer for Netflix documentary ‘Drive to Survive’
Netflix is going to be dropping some big titles including On My Block season two, Santa Clarita Diet season two and Arrested Development season 5B. There will be lots of Original films dropping on the streaming platform as well. Netflix fans also get their usual of weekly shows with episodes made available on the weekly basis.
If you’re a fan of Drew Barrymore’s zombie comedy series Santa Clarita Diet, then you’ll be pleased to know season three will be dropping at the end of March.
Barrymore’s character Sheila will be going on a journey to find purpose and probably end up eating people after becoming a zombie in the first series. While her husband Joel is going to be investigating a secret society.
There’s more comedy as the second half of Arrested Development season five will finally be landing on Netflix.
The first half aired back in 2018 and there’s been a bit of a wait as the Bluths continue to cause chaos.
Netflix favourite Queer Eye season three is going to be coming in March as well, so get your tissues ready.
There will be more emotional makeovers and transformations as the Fab Five head to Kansas City in Missouri.
On My Block season two will pick up from the tragedy of the first series as the characters try to put their lives back together.
Netflix hasn’t shared a release date for On My Block as yet - apart from returning at some point in March.
There are some intriguing new titles coming this March as well in the form of The Order, which feels like a mixture of Buffy the Vampire Slayer with TV shows like Legacies on The CW and other teen dramas in a high school setting with supernatural elements.
The Order really feels like it’s come off the success of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina last year.
Fans of Ricky Gervais can catch his brand new comedy series After Life, which sees him playing a man tries to come to terms with the death of his wife. Expect a bittersweet watch with Ricky’s usually close to the bone humour.
Idris Elba is another big name coming to Netflix in March in Turn Up Charlie. He’s going to be playing down-on-his luck DJ who is going to be trying to revive his career while working as a nanny.
Some other titles worth keeping in mind are David Fincher anthology series Love, Death & Robots, Immortals for those who like vampires, and Shadow which is an action-packed police drama set in South Africa.
There are rumours that sci-fi series The OA season two could be dropping this month. For those who don’t know about The OA, season one saw the return of a blind girl called Praire (Brit Marling) who comes back home after seven years with her sight restored.
Her disappearance is slowly explored in the first run as we find out what happened to her over the course of those seven years.
Season two is going to pick up from the first season but again, the release date is yet to be confirmed.
Riverdale season three and Star Trek: Discovery season two will continue to air weekly.
In terms of films, there’s The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, Mötley Crüe's no-holds-barred autobiography The Dirt, and The Highwaymen.
