BBC Breakfast: Naga Munchetty caught whispering on air
BBC Breakfast’s Naga Muchnetty, 43, was presenting this morning’s new programme alongside Charlie Stayt, 56.
The pair has presented the show together on numerous occasions and their shows usually go by without a hitch.
That said, presenting live television is not an easy thing to do and things often go wrong.
This happened to Naga this morning, whose microphone was turned on too early during one of the show’s transitions between news segments.
The news presenter could be heard whispering to one of her BBC colleagues.
Her exact words couldn’t be made out, yet she could then be heard clicking her pen.
This was followed with a brief coughing fit which disrupted the show even further.
However, her BBC colleagues managed to carry on regardless of her accidental interruptions.
Meanwhile, viewers took to Twitter to complain about how Naga and Charlie were wearing their poppies incorrectly.
One viewer tweeted: “Could Naga sort her poppy out, it’s all over the place.”

Another said: “C’mon Charlie & Naga sort out your poppies this morning. The leaf is meant to point towards 11, not 1 or 7.”
A third commented: “Could you please ask Charlie to wear his poppy properly please? The should 11 o clock not 2 o clock. Thank you.”
“Pedantic I know, but any chance of getting @BBCNaga & #Charlie to wear their poppies correctly. Thank you,” tweeted a fourth viewer.
Colette was attempting to explain about the online retailer Amazon and what the company was predicting ahead of the festive period.
The reporter reported Britons aren’t shopping on the high street as much as in previous years, yet, Amazon was still predicting a slow down on sales ahead of Christmas.
But Charlie found himself stuck on Colette's use of the word “minnow” during the report.
“There’s only one type of minnow really isn’t there? Small,” Charlie questioned.
Naga then stepped in to support the business reporter: “Ignore him, just ignore him,” as the presenters made light of the disagreement.
