Alps shooting: Tragic cyclist was on paternity leave
THE cyclist shot dead was a local man on paternity leave who was “caught in the wrong place at the wrong time”.

Sylvain Mollier, 45, had taken time off from a stainless steel company after his wife gave birth to their third child, a son.
On his father-in-law’s advice, he was cycling near Chevaline to get “a good little climb”.
Prosecutor Eric Maillaud said: “It would appear he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

It would appear he was in the wrong place at the wrong time
Ugine Deputy Mayor Michel Chevallier said: “Had he passed five minutes before it may have been quiet; five minutes later and he would have been the first witness to the massacre, but he would be with us to talk about it.”
