X Factor chiefs under pressure to apologise for Auto-Tune
X FACTOR bosses are under pressure today to apologise for using Auto-Tune technology to enhance contestants’ voices.
The first episode of the seventh TV series on Saturday night attracted a record 11.1 million viewers as judge Cheryl Cole and the panel auditioned wannabe stars in Glasgow and London. But it was met with huge criticism from fans complaining that many of the singers sounded as if their pitch had been corrected.
