Susan Boyle is snubbed by the Brits
SINGING sensation Susan Boyle has been snubbed by the Brit Awards after failing to be nominated in a single category.
Despite recording the best- selling British album of last year, she was overlooked for “not being cool enough”.
The Scottish singer 48, was propelled to stardom on Britain’s Got Talent. Her debut album, I Dreamed A Dream, topped the UK and US charts.
But she was ignored on a shortlist announced last night, which included Lily Allen, Florence And The Machine, Lady GaGa and Pixie Lott. An insider said: “The Brits are supposed to be a celebration of British music – and cool."
“And whatever anyone thinks of Susan Boyle, she isn’t cool. But it’s disgusting. She’s done more for our industry this year than anyone else.”
