Cat Deeley has made it clear that she wouldn't hesitate to quit her job at This Morning if it compromised her mental health.

The beloved presenter, 47, has been a familiar face on TV, hosting popular shows like Fame Academy, So You Think You Can Dance, and Stars in Their Eyes.

Currently, she co-hosts This Morning with Ben Shephard, 49, after the pair stepped in to replace Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, who left amid controversy last year.

In her recent comments about potentially leaving the show, Cat shared that her well-being comes first as she values her mental health above all else.

In an interview with Grazia Magazine, the star said: “I don’t feel particularly vulnerable. And I’d always think about my own mental health. If something was affecting me, or I hated going into work, I’d walk away. It’s more important that I enjoy what I do.”

Confronting the swirling reports on the "toxic" work culture at This Morning, Cat addressed the issue with conviction, stating: “Well, obviously Ben and I had heard all of those stories.

"I can only speak as I find it, and I have no idea what happened before we were there, but I haven’t seen one scrap of it.”

Cat previously praised ex-presenter Holly after receiving a lovely bouquet of flowers from the star congratulating her on her role on This Morning.

She shared with The Sunday Times: “Holly sent me a stunning bunch of flowers along with a handwritten card. It was such a classy gesture that truly touched me. Once things calm down, I’m sure we’ll get together. People often say that women are pitted against each other, but that just isn’t true.”

She also spoke about the increased scrutiny from the press and public since joining the ITV chat show.

Deeley agreed the response has “shocked her” and added: “Everyone keeps checking in with me, ‘Are you OK? Are you handling this all right?'

“I don’t care. I do not care. If it gets too much for me I’m going to quit. I don’t need to do it. I could stop and be a mum for most of the year, and then go and do the shows in America.

“There is no ulterior motive for me doing this.”

Away from the spotlight, Cat has two children with Northern Irish comedian and The Late Late Show presenter Patrick Kielty.
