Argentine dengue outbreak worsening
Argentina's health ministry has said a dengue outbreak is getting worse.
A total of 4,000 people are now infected, primarily along the country's northern border with Paraguay and Bolivia.
Two people have died from the severe hemorrhagic variant, which accounts for a fraction of cases.
The health ministry said there are 1,527 cases in the province of Chaco and 1,025 in Salta, the two northern provinces most affected by the outbreak.
Authorities say the dengue outbreak is linked to an epidemic in neighbouring Bolivia, which has registered 51,000 cases.
The Aedes aegypti mosquito carries the disease. Most cases are not fatal.
