Farage: I would feel more secure with Trump as my leader
The former Ukip leader said he would pick Donald Trump as a leader over Angela Merkel.
Speaking on LBC, Nigel Farage added President Trump was working to make United States cities “safer” than European Union ones.
He said: “Trump as the leader of that nation, has a job and his job as he sees it is to make American cities safer than right now European cities are.
“I would feel far more secure living with Trump as my leader than I would with Angela Merkel as my leader.”

Mr Trump has vowed to “step up the extreme vetting programme” following the deadly attack in Manhattan yesterday.
The President took to Twitter to share the news that he is upping his pledge to crack down on immigration following the incident of terror.
He said: “I have just ordered Homeland Security to step up our already Extreme Vetting Program. Being politically correct is fine, but not for this!”
Prior to his tweet surrounding the initiative, Trump attacked ISIS by stating that the US should not open its borders to terrorism.
He added: “We must not allow ISIS to return, or enter, our country after defeating them in the Middle East and elsewhere. Enough!”
Trump discussed plans of a travel ban that was labelled a “Muslim ban” by critics during his Presidential campaign.
The third version of Trump’s travel ban recently received a preliminary injunction in a blow to the President’s ambitions of banning travellers from six Muslim-majority countries and North Korea.
