Man arrested by special forces after Munich knife attacker injures four in stabbing spree
GERMAN special forces have arrested a suspect after a knifeman went on the rampage in the German city of Munich and injured at least five people.
Knifeman has attacked 'several' members of the public in Munich
Munich police spokesman Markus da Gloria Martins said: "We have arrested a person who very strongly resembles the description by witnesses but we cannot confirm that he is the attacker at this stage."
People had been warned to stay indoors after the attack at around 8.15am local time at the Rosenheimer Platz S-Bahn underground station.
Police tweeted: "Warning: Avoid Rosenheimer Platz. Perpetrators are still volatile. Residents please stay in the houses Munich."

“Until now we know nothing about the motivation.”
They described the attacker as a man in his 40s who fled the scene on a black bicycle.
They said: "He is wearing a green training jacket, is riding a black bike. He also had a backpack with camping mat."
Police had warned members of the public not to approach the man but to contact the emergency services if they see him.

At least five people have reportedly been stabbed but their injures are not said to be life-threatening at this stage.
Images from the sene show a number of ambulances parked outside the station and a police helicopter hovering above the scene.
Roads around the station were closed and dozens of armed police officers were on patrol in the area in the centre of the Bavarian capital.
