26 killed in Peru road crashes
Police say that 26 people have died and nearly 100 are injured because of two crashes in southern Peru - one involving two buses smashing into a truck.
Two Spaniards and one Italian are among those reported injured.
Police say two buses and an articulated lorry collided at dawn on Tuesday in Arequipa province, killing 14 and injuring 57.
Arequipa policeman Julio Chayacani says the cause of the accident is unknown.
Police also reported that a bus plunged into a gorge in Ayacucho province, killing 12 and injuring 39.
