SPANISH REVOLT: Two in three Spaniards want a say on EU membership after Brexit
SPANIARDS are the nation who want their voices heard the most by having their own referendum on membership of the European Union, according to a poll.

The poll by Pew Research Centre revealed that 65 per cent of people in Spain want a referendum on EU membership, which was the highest of any country polled.
Besides Spain, support for a national referendum on EU membership was also high in France, Greece and Italy.
The countries with the highest number of people wanting to leave the EU were Greece and Italy with 35 per cent of people in favour of a Grexit or a Italexit.

Eurosceptic momentum is building in Italy and Greece due to the migration crisis, the poor economy and the migration crisis.
An Italian referendum would be particularly damaging to the union as it is one of the core members.
The survey questioned almost 10,000 people from France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
An average of 53 per cent of people across the nine European countries said that they supported having their own national referendums on continued EU membership.
However, just 13 per cent of Spaniards said that they thought that Spain should follow the UK’s footsteps and leave the bloc.
The poll revealed that on average 18 per cent of those who responded said they wanted to leave the bloc.

According to the poll, the countries with the highest number of people wanting to leave the bloc were Greece and Italy, with around 35 per cent.
The Pew Research Centre also revealed many Europeans believe that Germany has too much of a sway within the EU.
This comes as Catalonia are due to hold a referendum on splitting from Spain in October.
