North Korea launches 'warship-killing' cruise missiles in latest World War 3 threat
NORTH Korea’s sabre rattling continues to escalate after Kim Jong-un launched a number of land-to-ship missiles off its east coast.
North Korea has launched more missiles
The missiles were fired off the North Korean coastal city of Wonsan, according to South Korea's Office of Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The ‘cruise missiles’ are believed to have travelled around 124 miles. It is not yet known where the missiles landed.
The launch comes less than a week after the UN security council slapped more sanctions on the hermit kingdom after it refused to back down on its mission to develop nuclear weapons.
South Korean president Moon-Jae-in said he had been briefed on the missile test.

It is the fourth test by Pyongyang since Moon took office on May 10.
Before the missiles launch, the head of the US Missile Defence Agency (MDA) told Congress North Korea’s missile arsenal was a “great concern”.

Vice-Admiral James Syring, director of the MDA, said: “It is incumbent on us to assume that North Korea today can range the United States with an ICBM carrying a nuclear warhead.
“The advancements in the last six months have caused great concern to me and others.”
