‘Happiest prisoner in the world!’ 99-year-old put behind bars in dream come true
A GRANDMOTHER has had her dream come true after police arrested the 99-year-old and threw her into a cell.
Police ARREST 99-year old who hadn't committed a crime
The woman, known only as Annie, had told an officer in the Netherlands that her bucket list wish was to experience prison from an inmate’s perspective.
And even though she had committed no crime, police in Nijmegen were more than happy to help with her request.
The ‘gangster grannie’ was seen beaming through the glass window
Handcuffing the pensioner, who is nearing her 100th birthday, for authenticity, police sat her down in a bare, white cell and slammed the door behind her.
But rather than looking concerned, the ‘gangster grannie’ was seen beaming through the glass window as she held up her handcuffed wrists.
The 'stunt' was so Annie could complete her bucket list
Peter Smit, a lieutenant at the station, told the Independent: "She wanted to be in a police cell because of her bucket list.
"In her life she never committed any crime, and thought it would be exciting to experience.
“As you can see in the picture from our post, she found it hilarious to be in the inside with the handcuffs."

Posting the photos on Facebook, the force described it as “a day to remember”.
A police spokesman said: "(An officer) decided to look into the possibility to grant her request.
“One thing led to another, and the result is a happy Annie, a ticked off bucket list and some very nice pictures."
Locals have praised the officers for helping Annie fulfil one of her final wishes
