A LEADING Democrat was caught on a 'hot' microphone prompting a congressman to tell anti-Trump demonstrators that he is Muslim.

Minority Leader of the House of Representative Nancy Pelosi was picked up instructing André Carson to remind crowds of his faith in an address to protesters.
The embarrassing moment came during a C-SPAN broadcast covering demonstrations in Washington DC after Donald Trump introduced a travel ban on seven Muslim countries.
The ban sees citizens from Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen temporarily barred along with all refugees.
Speaking from outside the Supreme Court, Mrs Pelosi, one of the most powerful Democrats in the US, introduced Mr Carson as a “Muslim member of congress”.

In the clip, Mrs Pelosi is heard repeatedly telling the Democratic Party congressmen to “tell them your Muslim” as he introduces himself to the crowd.
After the prompt, he says: “Not only do I represent Indiana’s seventh congressional district very proudly but I happen to be a Muslim and a former police officer.”
The footage emerged after a series of anti-Trump demonstrations took place around the world in protest of the controversial policy.
Rallies took place around the UK with many calling on the Government to ban President Trump entering the UK in a proposed state visit.

More than 1.8million Britons have signed a petition to block the visit after the US leader came under fire from Jeremy Corbyn and Tim Farron.
Theresa May also condemned the policy.
However, despite the criticism, Nigel Farage, the first British politician to meet with the billionaire tycoon after his election win, endorsed the ban and called for it to be implemented in the UK.
He told the BBC’s Sunday Politics: "He [President Trump] is fully entitled to do this, and as far as we are concerned in this country, yes I would like to see extreme vetting."
