A WOMAN who has been missing since August has been found chained like a dog in a metal storage box.
Kala Brown, 30, was found 'chained like a dog' in a metal box
Kala Brown and her boyfriend Charlie Carver, 31, went missing on August 31, sparking a huge search operation.
After receiving a tip off from a sex crime investigator, police raided a property and discovered the 30-year-old after hearing her banging against the walls of a metal storage container.
Kala was said to be “chained inside the container like a dog” with a tether around her neck.
Her boyfriend, Charlie Carver, is still missing.
The pair’s disappearance triggered a huge search operation in Spartanburg County, where they are from, and across South Carolina.

It was pretty emotional, to say the least, when she was found - especially when she was chained like a dog
Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright, who led the investigation, found Kala had been regularly fed but was “obviously traumatised”.
He said: "It was pretty emotional, to say the least, when she was found - especially when she was chained like a dog.
“She had a chain around her neck. Its only by God’s grace we found that little girl alive."
Charlie Carver is still missing
According to Wright, Kala claimed four other people may have been held at the property.
He said: "We’re trying to make sure we don’t have a serial killer on our hands. It very possibly could be what we have."
Police have arrested 45-year-old Todd Kohlhepp, who owns the property but lives in a different home in Spartanburg.
Locals displayed missing posters across South Carolina
Kohlhepp is a convicted sex offender who was added to the registry after being convicted of kidnapping in Arizona in 1987, when he was 16.
He is currently being detained by police ahead of a hearing before Spartanburg County Magistrates on Friday.
Kala is receiving hospital treatment.
