Gunman 'took hostages'' at BMW site
Police have subdued and taken into custody an armed employee of BMW France who allegedly took hostages at the firm's offices in south west Paris, police said.
An elite unit in Montigny-le-Bretonneux helped free three hostages at the German carmaker's site, a police official said.
The alleged assailant, aged in his 50s, is said to have fired at least two shots in the office lobby. No one was injured.
The man was taken into custody a little more than two hours after police were called on Monday afternoon.
