The Fuxing Hao CRH380A is a high-speed train operated by China Railway and has earned its title as the fastest operational train in the world.

It achieved an incredible speed of 302.1mph (486.1km/h) during a test run in 2017.

While the train is not as fast when carrying passengers, it still operates at a remarkable speed of around 217mph (350km/h).

Running between Beijing and Shanghai, the Fuxing Hao serves one of the busiest and most important rail lines in the world.

It significantly cuts down travel times between these major cities and covers a distance of approximately 808 miles (1,300km).

Nonetheless, the development and production of the Fuxing Hao CRH380A came with a hefty price tag.

Each train reportedly cost around £21 million due to advanced engineering and materials used to be able to achieve such impressive speeds.

The train is part of China's much bigger effort to expand its high-speed rail network, which is already the largest in the world.

The investment in trains like the Fuxing Hao is meant to improve connectivity and boost the country's infrastructure.

In addition to its record-breaking speed, the Fuxing Hao is also known for its incredible features.

These include enhanced passenger comfort, stability at high speeds, and reduced noise levels.

It's part of China's ambitious plans to lead the world in high-speed rail, not just in terms of speed but also efficiency and safety.

With its impressive combination of speed, reliability, and innovation, the Fuxing Hao is a key component of China's growing transportation network and will hopefully set standards for the future of rail across the world.
