Spain's holiday hotspots have descended into chaos as tourists fight it out for sunbeds in prime locations on popular beaches.

Brits across the country will be packing their suitcases as schools break up for the summer holidays.

But, holiday destinations in Spain are already getting crowded, as seen in a video shared on TikTok earlier this month.

In the clip, guests at the Hotel Village in Benalmadena, Spain, were seen gathering with their towels as they waited for the green light to claim their sunbeds.

One person was seen nabbing six prime spots.

This comes as one holiday hotspot – Palma de Majorca – prepares to bring in restrictions for sunbeds.

At the following beaches, sunbeds can now only be booked via an app: Ciutat Jardí, Cala Estància, Can Pere Antoni, Cala Major and Playa de Palma.

This plan will start in 2025 to stop tourists from chaotically claiming sunbeds on Majorca's beaches.

Commenting on the TikTok video of tourists waiting to grab their sunbeds, someone said: "Want to know what happens afterwards. Do they all sit and relax?"

Another user commented: "My idea of holiday hell."

Talking about the Spring Hotel in Tenerife, someone else said: "The only thing that lets this hotel down. Queuing for the gates to open at 8am."

Another video shared on TikTok showed tourists frantically grabbing spots at a hotel on Spain's Costa Dorada on the mainland.

One person said: "Literally running for it. We thought it was hilarious."
