Cameras have captured the insane moment a Ukrainian drone annihilated a Russian vehicle, causing a fireball to shoot into the sky.

Ukraine's 148th Artillery Brigade has released footage showing a drone's point of view and the aftermath of an attack on a white van.

The video, posted on X, shows the device approaching the van before hitting it in the rear, sending it lurching forward.

Ukraine's forces have consistently utilised drones in the defence of their country, with supplies being provided by allied nations.

The latest attack is one of dozens instrumented in recent weeks, with some having travelled thousands of miles before meeting their Russian targets.

In the video released by Ukraine's defence forces, only the last leg of the drone's journey is shown in the first person.

The brief, 17-second clip captures the drone's point of view as it slams into the back of the van, with the following explosion recorded by a second camera.

After the drone hits, the van becomes enveloped in thick, black smoke before rolling to a stop on a Ukrainian dirt track.

Two men can be seen spilling out of the vehicle's doors and hurriedly running into nearby undergrowth.

Defence of Ukraine posted the clip overlaid with an unidentified drum and bass song, mirroring similar videos released by the account since the war began.

The account also appeared to quote a song, Praise Jah in the Moonlight, written by YG Marley, the son of US rapper and singer Lauryn Hill.

The caption read: "These roads of flames are catching on fire."

Ukraine has become famous for its drone usage since the war began, with specialised teams now flying the devices into battle able to stem the tide of Russian forces.

One team, which has named itself the Peaky Blinders after the hit UK TV series, has defended a small town named Lyptsi, helping blunt Russia's spring offensive.

The BBC has reported that the team alone has killed or injured more than 100 Russian soldiers.
