Ever fancied moving permanently abroad and wondered how you’d fare with the citizenship tests? Estonia has been revealed as the hardest country in Europe to gain citizenship for. It has the lowest acceptance rate, at just 0.6 percent of applications being successful.
As part of the application process, wannabe citizens are required to pass an exam on the Estonian Constitution and Citizenship Act. People also have to pass an Estonian language proficiency test.
Those applying must have been a long-term resident of the country, for at least eight years with the last five being permanent. You must also be “loyal to the Estonian state”.
