Experts meet to discuss why volcano has stopped
Experts are currently meeting to discuss why the volcano has suddenly ceased activity.
This is very unexpected as the lava flow had begun to increase in the last few hours and has almost reached the sea.
At present, it is unknown why the volcano has stopped emitting lava, smoke and ash.
However experts are considering 4 options: the volcano is recharging with magma, a plug has been generated, preventing the emission of lava, the volcano has started to stand still ( highly unlikely as its only been a week since i erupted), the magma is moving ( also very unlikely).
Volcano comes to complete stop
It has been reported that a few minutes go the volcano came to a complete stop.
Experts are unsure at this time what this means.
